Scott Tobin
Senior Vice President
Scott brings over 15 years experience encompassing interactive creative, integrated production, branding and strategy—an expertise in digital content from development through distribution. He founded Tobin Interactive, an award-winning interactive design and marketing firm. There he pioneered new methods of distribution for printed marketing and promotional materials to the digital space for Disney Home Entertainment, Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Television. He has extensive knowledge of various platforms and emerging technologies, as well as the deft strategic thinking necessary to position immersive storytelling in digital and social spaces. His love for storytelling and cinema is what initially drew him to Los Angeles, where he began his career at Amblin Entertainment and Warner Bros.
Caroline Riordan
VP, Business Development
Caroline Riordan brings over 10 years of book publishing experience to Trailer Park Publishing. She began her career negotiating author and licensing contracts for Andrews McMeel Publishing, and has spent the last nine years in roles at both the children’s and adult publishing divisions of The Walt Disney Company.
Caroline’s background and expertise spans a range of disciplines; from negotiating contracts with authors and outside licensees for audio, serial, translation and domestic reprint subsidiary rights, to her most recent role at Hyperion focusing exclusively on growing the nascent digital publishing program and driving new business and product development. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of eBooks, she oversaw the release of Hyperion’s first unique digital reading experiences as apps, including Nigella Lawson’s Quick Collection cooking app and a multimedia book app for Eoin Colfer’s And Another Thing, the 7th installment in Doug Adams’ Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series. Caroline drove the launch of Hyperion’s first enhanced eBooks in 2010. And she managed the integration of digital publishing processes into the workflows of traditional print departments.
Caroline is on the board of The Women’s Media Group as its Treasurer, and served for three years on the Digital Issues Working Group of the AAP.
Steve Boelhouwer
Senior Director of Technology
Steve brings over 25 years experience in web and interactive development, digital media and team leadership. As the Director of Interactive Technology at Trailer Park, he dives into the latest advances in digital publishing, interactivity, social media, online video and related initiatives. Prior to Trailer Park, Steve spent over 20 years in progressively more challenging positions in the electronic gaming and advertising industries, including launching several idealab™ starups. Steve is a contributing writer to various technical and trade publications, including Game Developer Magazine and Digital Journal Online.
